Internship Project-Week Two

My internship will be taking place in two places. For the first two weeks, I will be over at Sharp memorial working in the pathology lab. After two weeks, I will switch over to their main lab at Copley. My project at Sharp memorial will be to help with anything needed. Most of the time I observe the pathologist's gross specimens, but throughout the day, I go on runs. The "runs" are when we go to different parts of the hospital to pick up specimens to bring over to the lab for the pathologists to gross. There is a schedule for the runs, I usually go 2-3 times a day. Other times I will spend observing the pathologist around the lab. When I switch to Copley lab, I will be filling slides. This will help the organization keep up with the workload.
